Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Brooklyn is seeking a X-Ray Technologist to join our radiology team. The role supports diagnostic imaging services across scheduled shifts, including Sunday 8am-4pm and Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm, on a temporary basis.

The technologist will perform radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, manage image quality, and use HIS/RIS/PACS for documentation, under department protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology required.
• New York State Radiologic Technology License required.
• New York State Radiologic Technology Permit can be accepted in lieu of NYS License.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations independently.
• Position patients and imaging equipment for optimal images while minimizing radiation.
• Adjust technical factors to ensure image quality and safety.
• Review images for quality and completeness before submission to PACS/EMR.
• Follow radiation safety principles and hospital protocols.
