Advocate Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. You will position patients, select exposure factors, and collaborate with radiologists in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently with basic computer and RIS documentation. Wisconsin radiography licensure and ARRT are required.

Qualifications

  • Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) with ARRT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
  • Explain procedures to patients, obtain clinical history and address questions.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors with radiation safety.
  • Identify patient and label images; ensure exam accuracy and quality.
  • Assist and consult with Radiologists; maintain records for regulatory agencies.
  • Enter patient and study data into the radiology information system and document billing codes.
  • Perform patient handling tasks, lifting and transporting while using proper technique.
  • Demonstrate age-appropriate care and adapt to life-span needs per department policy.
