Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will position patients, select exposure factors, and communicate clearly with patients to obtain history and address questions.

You will collaborate with Radiologists, document procedures for billing, maintain accurate records, and adhere to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
• Registered Technologist (RT) by ARRT.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and obtain clinical history.
• Position patients and select exposure factors, ensuring radiation protection and safety.
• Identify patient and label images, verify requisitions, and process images for quality.
• Assist and consult with Radiologists as needed.
• Prepare and maintain records and enter information into radiology systems; document billing codes.
• Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, lifting and pushing/pulling as required.
• Provide age-appropriate care aligned with department policies and patient needs.
