Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks a radiologic technologist to perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams. You will explain procedures to patients, obtain history, and ensure understanding while maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

Competent in basic radiographic techniques and fluoroscopy basics.
Excellent communication with patients to explain procedures and gather history.
Knowledge of radiation safety and proper exposure factors.
Ability to work with radiologists and other staff effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
Explain procedures to patients, obtain clinical history and address questions.
Position patients and set exposure factors with radiation protection in mind.
Label images, verify physician orders, and ensure exam accuracy.
Assist and consult with radiologists; document billing codes and enter data in HIS/RIS.
Maintain records per regulatory standards and handle patient transport duties as needed.
