Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, operate angiographic equipment, and assist in interventional and surgical cases.

This role requires licensure, ARRT registration, and BLS/ACLS within 6 months; you will ensure image quality, patient safety, and timely documentation in the radiology information system.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential as you support clinicians, patients, and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Competent in basic radiology positioning and techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic radiation safety and aseptic techniques.
  • Knowledge of anatomy that includes vascular and/or cerebral.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients, and other staff members.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operates angiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
  • Acts as a scrub assistant on interventional and surgical procedures.
  • Monitors patients and alerts staff of life-threatening changes; assists with CPR when required.
  • Identifies and processes images, ensures diagnostic quality and proper labeling.
  • Compares requisitions to physician orders for exam accuracy.
  • Post-processes images and labels with patient name and MRU number.
  • Maintains records per regulatory agencies; enters data into the radiology information system.
  • Performs patient positioning and transporting duties necessitating lifting and pushing.
  • Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care and growth/development awareness.
