Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team, providing high-quality radiographic imaging for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. Under the Radiologist, you will perform imaging procedures across clinical settings while ensuring patient safety and adherence to imaging protocols.

You will track exams, process images with PACS, verify data, and participate in quality control, room preparation, and training of staff and students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program.
• Registered or registry-eligible with ARRT and must obtain ARRT certification within six months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Prepare examination rooms to ensure safety, infection control, and hygiene standards.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and use AIDET during interactions.
• Track patients from start to finish to ensure workflow and documentation.
• Process, transfer, and archive images using PACS and reconcile daily exceptions.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and verify demographic data accuracy.
• Apply lead markers and include technologist initials on images.
• Maintain imaging equipment with routine quality control checks.
• Clean and inspect rooms, report equipment issues to supervision.
• Assist with patient scheduling and support departmental workflow.
• Ensure rooms remain stocked at shift end.
• Assist with training Radiology staff and students as assigned.
• Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Perform additional duties to support operations.
