Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team and provide high-quality radiographic imaging for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. Under the radiologist’s direction, you will perform imaging procedures while prioritizing patient safety and comfort and following established protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography Program required.
• ARRT certification or registry-eligible with ARRT certification within six months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with established departmental protocols.
• Prepare examination rooms to ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hygiene standards prior to patient procedures.
• Ensure accurate patient identification using two approved identifiers and utilize the AIDET communication framework during all patient interactions.
• Track patients from the beginning of each procedure through exam completion to ensure accurate workflow and documentation.
• Process, transfer, and archive images utilizing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and reconcile daily exceptions to ensure exam accuracy.
• Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and verify that demographic data, including medical record numbers and accession numbers, are accurate.
