Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Tennessee is hiring a Medical Assistant who will perform x-ray testing alongside standard MA duties, including room preparation and assisting providers during procedures.

The role requires careful patient handling, accurate documentation, and adherence to radiation safety protocols, under supervision. Shift patterns include full-time rotating 12-hour days with weekend coverage; ARRT is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• TN State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guide them through the treatment process, communicating wait times.
• Document vital signs, medical history, medications and allergies.
• Assist with radiology procedures and patient transfers.
• Ensure proper radiation safety and equipment readiness.
• Maintain accurate patient visit documentation and quality control checks.
