Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Cookeville, TN, is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our team. The role performs radiology procedures, patient preparation, and related Medical Assistant duties, ensuring safety and accuracy.

Full-time schedule includes 36–40 hours per week with rotating weekday shifts and occasional weekends. Prior MA experience and BLS are valued; ARRT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• TN State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage flow in waiting, exam, and radiology areas.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and follow radiation protection procedures.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under supervision.
• Document patient history, vitals, and relevant information.
• Maintain and report equipment status and safety standards.
• Proceed with timely radiology procedures for attending physicians.
