Job summary

Townsen Memorial Surgery Center - Kingwood is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The Radiologic Technologist will prepare and operate radiographic, X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under physician supervision.

You will maintain sterile field, ensure equipment readiness, and perform quality control while documenting images in the EMR. Strong knowledge of anatomy, safety, and patient care is essential to support accurate diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two years of radiology experience in a healthcare facility (one year in the operating room).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate radiographic, X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and follow best practices in the operating room.
• Adjust radiographic controls (kV, mA) to prescribed specifications.
• Minimize radiation exposure with shielding and safety techniques.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal image quality.
• Review X-rays for clarity and repeat as needed.
• Distribute films and transfer images to EMR.
• Perform quality and quantity control checks on imaging equipment.
