Job summary

Townsen Memorial Surgery Center - Med Center is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The role requires performing radiographic, X-ray, and fluoroscopic procedures under physician supervision in the OR setting.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, ensuring safety, positioning patients, and transferring images to the EMR while maintaining privacy and following HIPAA, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• ARRT certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
• Two years radiology experience, including operating room exposure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field in the operating room.
• Ensure radiographic supplies and equipment are ready and in working order.
• Set kilovoltage and milliamperage for exposures.
• Minimize radiation exposure through safety practices.
• Position patients and obtain high-quality X-ray images.
• Review images and retake as needed for clarity.
• Transfer images to EMR for documentation.
• Conduct routine quality checks on X-ray units.
• Maintain accuracy of patient records and workflow.
• Follow HIPAA and safety policies.
