Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT Radiology registration.
• Prior imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physician to confirm exam details and ensure image quality.
• Enter patient history and requisition information for exam correlation.
• Explain procedures to patient and position appropriately with shielding as needed.
• Set up equipment and operate controls to obtain correct exposure.
• Perform imaging exams according to established standards, policies and procedures.
• Provide backup support in other imaging modalities when appropriate.
• Monitor patient and report changes to clinicians per safety standards.
• Ensure image quality and labeling; transmit images to Radiologist and records.
• Document exam and results in patient’s medical record.
• Calibrate and clean equipment; perform QC tests and report repairs.
• Monitor supplies and keep work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for continuity of care and safety.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

New York State Radiologic Technologist license

ARRT Radiology registration

Prior imaging experience preferred
