Organization: SOPS-Sutter Outpatient Services - Bay

Position Overview: Performs routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures. Gains confidence and cooperation from patients and healthcare providers through effective assessment, monitoring, and communication. Adheres to all regulations and policies to ensure privacy and safety, delivering optimal patient care. May also perform specific procedures and assist in orienting staff to the department.

Job Description:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program

Certification & Licensure:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and evidence of application for CRT (may not begin work until verified)
• OR CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist from the state of employment)
• BLS (Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider) upon hire
• RHF (Radiology Fluoroscopy) within 180 days if required at the affiliate

Typical Experience:

• 2 years relevant recent experience

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including trauma response
• Ability to perform routine radiographic exams and understand human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer applications and healthcare information systems (e.g., RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, PACS)
• Ability to prioritize, work independently and as part of a team, and resolve standard problems
• Maintain patient privacy and build collaborative relationships with healthcare team
