Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to produce high-quality X-ray images in a safe and efficient manner at the Penfield Imaging location. You will verify orders, position patients, and use immobilization devices when appropriate, under supervision as needed.

Responsibilities include room setup, patient verification, image acquisition, and accurate documentation for PACS submission. Per diem/evening shifts, per department needs, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• NYS licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) upon hire.
• ARRT certification with CE credits upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and patient per order; sets up equipment and positions patients for high-quality images.
• Verifies orders, ensures correct exam type, and adheres to imaging policies and patient safety protocols.
• Maintains supplies in X-ray rooms and transfers patients using assistive devices.
• Produces diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation and ensures accurate PACS transmission.
• Completes and bills for studies; documents patient data and exam details.
• Trains or leads day-to-day activities as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
