Job summary

University of Rochester in Rochester, NY is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist to perform inpatient X-ray exams with safety and precision. You will verify orders, position patients, and ensure high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.

The role requires formal radiologic technology training and NYS CRT licensure with ARRT CE credits; applicants may train under supervision as needed. This position is on-site.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and patient per order, sets up equipment, positions patients and determines exposure factors to produce a high quality image.
• Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, exam, and special provider comments; follows dual patient identifier procedure.
• Maintains supplies in X-ray rooms and ensures accurate patient record keeping and image transfer to PACS.
• Produces diagnostic, high quality images for radiologist interpretation and may train new employees or lead day-to-day activities.
