Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• NYS CRT licensure required upon hire; ARRT certification with CE credits required.
• Ability to perform X-ray exams in an inpatient setting and follow orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room and patient per order.
• Properly sets up equipment, positions patients, and determines proper exposure factors to produce a high-quality image.
• Verifies patient name, date, and exam in the electronic system; adheres to provider comments.
• Maintains patient records and ensures images are correctly sent to PACS.
• May train new employees or lead day-to-day work activities.
