Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care in New York is recruiting a Radiologic Technologist to perform x-ray procedures, ensure patient safety, and coordinate with care teams. You will operate imaging equipment, document exams in the EMR, and assist with billing and patient flow.

The role emphasizes quality patient care, ongoing education, and the opportunity to grow within a expanding urgent care network across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology for x-ray testing.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards.
• Ability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problems.
• Friendly and outstanding customer service skills; strong critical thinking.
• Basic computer skills, including use of EMR.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down all X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and confirm examination order.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform x-rays safely.
• Obtain detailed patient history and note observations during exam.
• Use radiation safety and shielding materials as required.
• Ensure equipment functioning and report malfunctions.
• Process Radiologic Procedures in EMR and assist with billing.
• Obtain pre-authorization from insurance for CT scans.
• Record X-Ray exam results in PACS and ensure reports are in the chart.
• Coordinate with medical provider to clarify any readings.
• Stock and clean site; participate in QA program.
• Assist in basic medical assisting and triage to support patient flow.
