WellNow Urgent Care in New York is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our expanding team. You will perform X-ray procedures, ensure patient safety, and support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• Mastery of x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology for x-ray testing.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards.
• Ability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot.
• Ability to follow written instructions and standardized work practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down all X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and confirm examination orders.
• Prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures following safety standards.
• Obtain patient history notes during radiologic examinations.
• Apply shielding and radiation protection measures.
• Ensure equipment functionality and report malfunctions to Lead RT.
• Document radiologic procedures in EMR for billing.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans when required.
• Verify X-Ray exam in PACS and update patient charts.
• Coordinate with medical staff to resolve reading discrepancies.
• Assist in site stocking and cleanup, and participate in QA programs.
