Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform basic to advanced radiologic procedures under the Radiologist's direction. The role requires proficiency in general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, pain clinic, GI lab, urology, and C-arm procedures.

You will position patients, select exposure factors, provide radiation protection, and ensure image quality. Excellent communication with patients and collaboration with physicians are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiographer in Wisconsin and ARRT registration.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 6 months.
• Typically requires 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to advanced radiologic procedures under Radiologist supervision.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures and obtain history.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors with radiation protection.
• Identifies patient and labels images for accuracy and billing.
• Assists and consults with Radiologists and may work independently.
• Maintains records and documents billing codes.
• Serves as a resource to staff and students within the system.
• Collaborates with other departments for education and process improvements.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique.
