Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures. You will obtain patient history, ensure exam accuracy, and operate CT equipment with strict radiation safety practices in a fast-paced radiology department.

You will also assist the Radiologist with contrast administration, post-process imaging, and accurate labeling in the RIS system, while maintaining patient records and adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• Experience not required.
• Must obtain CT-ARRT within 18 months and BLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment for basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain medical history and ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patient and adjust scanning factors for optimal images with radiation safety.
• Administer contrast under Radiologist guidance and provide additional slices as needed.
• Post-process images, label correctly, and document patient and study information in the radiology system.
• Maintain records and enter billing codes for procedures.
• Identify equipment issues and conduct QA tests; report malfunctions.
• Perform patient handling tasks including lifting and transporting as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care in line with department standards.
