Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and ensure imaging quality across DR and PACS systems. The role emphasizes patient interaction, safety, and accurate documentation within EMR.

The successful candidate will work in a team environment, educate students and new staff, and uphold radiology safety standards in line with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited ARRT program.
• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform quality radiographic procedures.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Follow radiation safety practices and dosimeter monitoring.
• Position patients and select proper technical factors to obtain quality images.
• Explain x-ray exams to patients and answer questions.
• Operate CR/DR equipment and PACS.
• Review orders in EMR and PACS for dictation.
• Serve as liaison between ordering providers and radiologists.
• Preceptor to radiology students and new staff.
