Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients of all ages. The role operates under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager to provide physicians with essential diagnostic data.

Key duties include adhering to imaging protocols, ensuring image quality, applying ALARA principles, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Accredited Program Radiologic Technology.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• ARRT-R - ARRT Radiography.
• BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support.
• Ability to operate Diagnostic Imaging equipment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and written.
• Possess excellent patient/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging adhering to department protocol and ALARA principles.
• Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams across settings and evaluates image quality.
• Assists radiologists with procedures and protocols.
• Maintains patient safety and identifies emergencies appropriately.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and handwashing policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
