Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. You will adapt procedures as needed, ensure patient safety, and maintain equipment and imaging quality.

The role emphasizes training others, upholding radiation protection standards, and contributing to a collaborative imaging team within Carle Health’s Illinois system.

Qualifications

• Registered in Radiography (R) – ARRT
• BLS within 30 days – AHA
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Illinois IEMA
• Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology
• Associate’s Degree: Radiologic Technology
• Work Experience: Related field

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures per guidelines and standards
• Exhibits competency and serves as resource for staff during procedures
• Optimizes image quality using filters, collimation, markers and patient ID
• Maintains radiation protection through shielding and collimation
• Troubleshoots equipment and maintains clean, stocked work areas
• Processes images and paperwork promptly to ensure timely reports
• Supports QA/QC programs and participates in department training
