Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the supervision of a Radiologist. Independent judgment is used to adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results.

The role emphasizes image quality, patient comfort, radiation safety, and proficiency with equipment and HIS/PACS systems. You will support departmental operations and contribute to quality improvement while mentoring staff and students.

Qualifications

Registered in Radiography (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days
Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography
Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology
Associate’s Degree: Radiologic Technology
Related field work experience

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within guidelines and under direction of a Radiologist
Exhibits competency and serves as resource person for staff during radiographic procedures
Ensures image quality through proper views, filters, collimation, markers and patient identification
Maintains patient comfort and radiation safety using shielding and collimation
Maintains equipment knowledge and room supplies; troubleshoots as needed
Mentors technologists and students and participates in department quality initiatives
