Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures while maintaining high quality imaging and patient safety.

The ideal candidate will hold ARRT Radiography certification, BLS and state licensure in radiography, plus an associate degree or higher in radiologic technology.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT radiography certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed radiologic technologist in radiography.
• Completion certificate in radiologic technology required.
• Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately and safely.
• Serves as resource person for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Optimizes image quality using proper filters, collimation and markers.
• Protects patients with shielding and radiation safety measures.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and room supplies; troubleshoots as needed.
• Performs lab testing as appropriate.
• Processes and prepares images and paperwork for timely reports.
• Manages patient flow and assists with transport to/from department.
• Enters patient data into HIS system and Radiant/PACS correctly.
• Maintains QA/QC programs and a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participates in training technologists and students; supports teamwork.

ARRT Certification in Radiography

BLS Certification (AHA)
