Job summary

Howard University Hospital is hiring a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensuring high-quality images while providing patient care. This role includes operating equipment, preparing patients, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate will be a registered technologist with at least two years of experience and must have the ability to manage a high-stress environment effectively.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Capable of lifting moderate to heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
• Handle a high-stress environment calmly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain imaging equipment for patient diagnosis.
• Prepare patients for procedures following safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot equipment to avoid downtime.

Skills

Knowledge of patient transfers and positioning techniques

Exhibit ALARA principles

Tact and courtesy while dealing with patients

Good communication skills

Ability to troubleshoot equipment

Education

Registered Technologist through ARRT

Current Basic Life Support certification
