Job description

Job Title:Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic, Nights
Position Type:Long Term, Temporary (1+ years)
Location:Syracuse, NY
Shifts: TBD
Salary:$70 per hour
Work Authorization:Applicants must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer without requiring sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists
• Greet patients, explain the examination process, and position patients appropriately
• Set proper exposure factors to obtain quality radiographs
• Practice radiation safety and protection to minimize patient exposure
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively to obtain quality studies
• Report any equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor
• Process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes
• Follow department procedures and protocols as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual
• Provide radiologic examinations based on the needs of referring physicians and radiologists

Requirements:

• A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• NYS license/registration
• Minimum of one year of experience as a radiologic technologist
• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
• Rotating on call shghts required
