Job summary

Ochsner LSU Health in Louisiana is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures, mentor junior staff, and ensure patient safety and quality imaging. You will operate imaging equipment, verify orders, and communicate clearly with patients.

The role requires completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT registry eligibility or current ARRT registration, and BLS certification. A flexible schedule and travel between facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with radiology information systems and clinical software.
• Strong written and verbal communication for patient interaction.
• Ability to work with a flexible schedule including 24/7, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Operate radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and perform QC procedures.
• Support departmental operations including inventory and staff scheduling.
