Qualifications

• Performs diagnostic imaging exams with proper patient identification and protocol compliance.
• ARRT(R) certification and state license are required.
• BLS for healthcare providers is required.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and function as MA in clinic settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures patient preparation, order verification, and image quality review.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies in a timely manner without compromising care.
• Instructs students and other Radiology Techs on protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Keeps accurate records and follows coding and QC procedures.
