Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification and state license are required.
• Radiologic Technologist II with acute care experience preferred and ARRT(R) credential.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency.
• Identify patients, verify orders, and prepare for exams.
• Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
• Complete studies within time limits while preserving quality; assist students and other techs.
• Provide patient education and ensure comfort; respond to concerns.
• Follow infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate imaging equipment and related information systems.
• Maintain accurate patient/procedure records and report issues.
• Follow coding, charging, QC programs, and report equipment failures.
