Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic and interventional imaging.

Shifts may vary from 8 to 12 hours; flexibility to work at multiple urgent care locations and evenings/weekends is required. Background screening is part of the employment process for care of vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Florida Radiologic Tech license required.
• RTR registration required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis and/or intervention.
• Take responsibility for designated areas and procedures as required.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis and / or intervention. Technologist will assume responsibility for all designated areas and procedures as required.

Required License and Certs

• ARRT: Amer Reg Rad Technologist
• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL RT: Florida Radiologic Tech
• RTR: Registered Tech Radiology

Preferred License and Certs

Our urgent care centers are open 7 days a week 8am-8pm. Evenings, weekends and holidays are required. Additionally, shifts can vary from 8 hour shifts to 10 and 12 hour shifts. Flexibility to work at all 7 of our urgent care locations is also required, however schedule location preferences will be taken into consideration.
