Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System’s Mammo_VNA department seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography. Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will perform radiographic procedures with the level of independence and good judgment required for diagnostic imaging.

Your role includes applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis and assuming responsibility for designated areas as needed. Flexibility to work varied shifts and locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Require Board Certification in Radiology and Mammography.
• ARRT: Amer Reg Rad Technologist.
• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR.
• FL RT: Florida Radiologic Tech.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis with independent judgment.

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

• Require Board Certification in Radiology and Mammography.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer two (2) years experience screening mammography exams.

Required License and Certs

• ARRT: Amer Reg Rad Technologist
• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL RT: Florida Radiologic Tech

Preferred License and Certs

Our urgent care centers are open 7 days a week, 8am-8pm. Evenings, weekends and holidays are required. Additionally, shifts can vary from 8 hour shifts to 10 and 12 hour shifts. Flexibility to work at all 7 of our urgent care locations is also required, however schedule location preferences will be taken into consideration.
