Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Preferred: radiologic technology experience.
• Required: ARRT certification or registry eligibility with state license.
• Required: BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure for accuracy.
• Operates radiology equipment to complete imaging studies per protocol.
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Assists in department operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication to patient population and preserves privacy.
