Job summary

Ochsner Health in Shreveport seeks a Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure accurate orders are followed while maintaining patient privacy and comfort.

You will operate radiology equipment, review images for diagnostic quality, and perform quality control per standards. Collaboration with clinicians and ongoing education are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Licensed by the state Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and documentation for visit, answering questions before leaving.
• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Independently operate radiology equipment and RIS per protocol.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Perform timely quality control and remediation as needed.
• Support departmental operations: inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Adapt interactions to patient population while maintaining privacy.
• Additional duties as assigned.
