Job summary

Ochsner Health in Covington, LA seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures, ensure diagnostic quality, and support physicians and patients with compassionate care.

Requires AMA-approved program, ARRT certification, state licensure, high school diploma, BLS, and strong data entry and communication skills. Rotating shifts, on-site work, and strict safety compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Required - High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Radiologic Technology program from an AMA approved school.
• Required - Registered by the ARRT and licensed by the state.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Strong computer and data entry skills; proficient with Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for visits and explanations prior to procedures.
• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate radiology equipment and image systems per protocol.
• Ensure image quality meets diagnostic standards.
• Perform routine quality control and notify when remediation is needed.
• Assist in department operations, including inventory and staff scheduling.
• Adapt communication to patient population while maintaining privacy.
