Job summary

CareNow - Pawleys Island Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Radiology Technologist and Medical Assistant for PRN coverage. You will perform imaging, patient consultations, vitals, EKGs and injections, while documenting in the EHR and assisting with check-in/out.

Requirements include ARRT certification, HS diploma, BLS, and MA/RT training with state licensure as applicable. The team emphasizes patient-centered urgent care and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required.
• GMRT license in state of residency if required by state
• BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Within 30 days of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintain state license (if required) for Office Laboratory Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
