Job summary

CareNow - Rivers Ave, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Radiology Tech/Medical Assistant to perform x-ray and imaging procedures and assist with front-desk tasks in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will collect patient data, document in the EHR, and support in-house labs while ensuring patient comfort and accurate records.

Ideal candidates have ARRT certification, BLS, and Medical Assistant training, with 1+ year clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required.
• GMRT license in state of residency if required by the state.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain state Office Laboratory Assistant license within 30 days if required.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records/logs of in-house lab work, drug screens, and external lab results.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
