The position reports under general supervision and involves testing, reporting and FCC record-keeping, with competitive benefits and a starting wage of $51.78 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with safe history.
• Math through Trigonometry, DC/AC Circuits including Magnetism and Polyphase Theory.
• FCC General Class Radiotelephone License or NABER Two-Way Radio Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and maintain mobile radio transmitters and receivers (pagers, portable units and related equipment).
• Test and maintain all types of radio transmitters and receivers and associated equipment in a shop.
• Investigate radio and TV interference complaints.
• Perform substation and transmission line interference surveys.
• Prepare reports and maintain FCC records; assist higher classification Communications Testers.
