Job summary
United Radio is seeking skilled Technicians to join our expanding team in Central New York. The Field System Installer will handle customer installations and maintenance of electronic and communications equipment in buildings, tower sites, and vehicles.
Expected responsibilities include reading plans, troubleshooting, commissioning, data cabling, and DAS installation, with travel and on-call duties as needed. A High school diploma or GED and 3+ years in related fields are required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent military experience.
- 3 years’ electronic / mechanical / construction experience.
- Project Lead with 3-5 years’ experience the installation of Communications and Technical Electronics and IT infrastructure equipment.
Responsibilities
- Read installation plans and drawings to determine component placement.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose wiring or part issues.
- Participate in commissioning and testing of projects.
- Install data cabling and mounting infrastructure.
- Build out closets with racks and cable management.
- Maintain customer records and repair logs.
- Support commissioning of low voltage systems.
- Travel regionally and be on-call as needed.
