Job summary

Ohio Department of Behavioral Health in Toledo seeks a part-time dispatcher to operate the switchboard and radio communications, handle calls and emergencies, and support security and front-desk duties.

The role is at Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare, with shifts across the day and potential weekends. The position pays $21.48 per hour under OCSEA/AFSCME and starts at Step 1 with raises after six months.

Qualifications

• Formal education including reading, writing & speaking English.
• Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualification For Employment noted above.
• Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education listed on the application.

Responsibilities

• Operate switchboard attendant/radio communication equipment.
• Handle phone calls, intercom, paging system, two-way radio system.
• Handle emergencies and alerts as needed.
• Process call offs and logs all long-distance calls.
• Monitor fire alarm systems and generator alarms.
• Perform miscellaneous clerical and customer service duties.
• Issue keys and visitor's badges.
• Act as receptions.
• Maintain visitor logs, maintain files and records.
• Distribute newspapers.
