About Proton Therapy at Stanford

Proton Therapy coming to Stanford Radiation Oncology in late 2025. We will have the first installation of the Mevion S250FIT platform, utilizing a fixed-beam proton delivery system paired with an upright chair solution.

Role Overview

Radiation Therapists serve diverse patient populations including adults, pediatrics, veterans, and BMT patients. Our team members have opportunities to treat local, national, and international patients, administer innovative treatments, participate in clinical trials, and engage in research within an academic medical center.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver treatment according to prescriptions and treatment plans, explaining procedures to patients and ensuring safety protocols.
  • Use C*I*CARE principles to communicate and respond to patient concerns.
  • Maintain accurate treatment records and understand billing and coding processes.
  • Ensure a safe treatment environment, perform equipment checks, and assist in patient setup.
Qualifications
  • License/Certification: ARRT-RTT, CRT-T, and BLS from the American Heart Association
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of modern radiation therapy equipment and safety practices.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, leadership, and communication skills.

Compensation
