Qualifications

• High school diploma required; ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program completed.
• Maryland licensure to practice radiation therapy.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• ARRT certification preferred; 1+ year experience in radiation therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers ionizing radiation therapy per physician prescription.
• Review and maintain daily treatment records for accuracy.
• Assess patient condition from medical documentation and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients clearly and empathetically.
• Participate in simulation and mold room procedures.
• Resolve issues arising with routine setups.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Understand dosimetry procedures and perform basic treatment time calculations.
• Prepare room and equipment per prescriptions and immobilization devices.
