Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Radiation Therapist for part-time, day shift responsibilities. You will administer ionizing radiation per physician prescription and collaborate with physics, dosimetry, and oncology teams to plan and simulate treatments.

You will review daily treatment records, explain procedures to patients, participate in simulation and mold room work, and assist with scheduling, dosimetry calculations, and room preparation.

Formación

• High school diploma and ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology Program; bachelor’s preferred.
• ARRT certification.
• Current Maryland licensure to practice radiation therapy.
• At least one year of experience in a radiation oncology facility.
• Experience with linear accelerators, CT simulators and HDR therapy preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Administer ionizing radiation per physician prescription.
• Review and maintain daily treatment records for accuracy.
• Assess patient condition from medical records and monitor for reactions.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients with sensitivity.
• Participate in simulation and mold room procedures.
• Troubleshoot routine setup issues.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Understand dosimetry and perform basic treatment time calculations.
• Prepare room/equipment per prescriptions.
