Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer ionizing radiation therapy according to prescribed plans. The role involves working with physicists, dosimetrists, and oncologists to plan and simulate treatments, while upholding the hospital’s mission of compassionate care.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification and Maryland licensure, a high school diploma and ARRT-approved program, and preferably a Bachelor’s degree with experience in a radiation oncology setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus ARRT approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• ARRT certification required.
• Maryland state licensure to practice radiation therapy.
• At least one year of experience in radiation oncology preferred.
• Experience with linear accelerators, CT simulators, and HDR therapy preferred.

Position Purpose:

Administers ionizing radiation therapy to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Collaborates with the physicist, dosimetrist, chief therapist, and Radiation Oncologist in the planning and simulation of treatments. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma and completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) approved Radiological Technology Program.
• Bachelor’s preferred.
• ARRT certification.
• Current licensure by the state of Maryland to practice radiation therapy.
• At least one year of experience as a therapist in a radiation oncology facility is preferred.
• Experience using linear accelerators with multi-leaf colulators, CT simulators, and HDR therapy is preferred.

Pay Range:

$48.04-74.51. Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
