Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, seeks a Radiation Therapy professional for a PRN, rotating shift position in the Radiation Therapy department. You will deliver precise radiation treatments, collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists, and ensure patient safety through careful positioning and exact parameter selection.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining linear accelerators, documenting every session, and ensuring timely PACS submissions.

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI or Radiation Therapy credential from ARRT or Medical Sonographer credential from ARDMS required.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver life-saving radiation therapy by precisely exposing targeted areas to prescribed doses, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and safety for every patient.
• Facilitate effective treatment journeys by collaborating with physicians and dosimetrists to implement and adapt personalized radiation treatment plans.
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort by expertly positioning individuals and selecting exact anatomic parameters to ensure optimal treatment delivery.
• Maintain operational excellence by adjusting and maintaining specialized equipment, including linear accelerators, to guarantee technical reliability and performance.
• Drive clinical integrity by maintaining detailed records of every therapy session and ensuring all documentation is accurately submitted to the PACS system.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
