Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Radiation Officer & Safety Manager to lead the Health & Safety and Radiation Safety Programs, ensure OSHA compliance, and drive incident investigations and safety training across sites.

You will conduct hazard analyses, audits, root-cause analyses, and regulatory liaison, reporting safety metrics to management, and travel as needed to field sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of approved Radiation Safety course and 8-hour RSO training.
• USDOT HM Transportation course experience is expected.
• 5-7 years in construction-related environments with ECS scope knowledge.
• Experience as Authorized User of portable moisture density gauges is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of Health & Safety and Radiation Safety Programs.
• Prepare Activity Hazard Analyses and training classes.
• Conduct site visits to monitor ECS H&S Program implementation.
• Participate in safety audits and Behavior Based Safety Observations.
• Review incidents and conduct root-cause investigations when needed.
• Attend regulatory hearings and support liability-limiting measures.
