Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Radiation Officer & Safety Manager to implement safety programs, oversee radiation safety, and drive regulatory compliance across offices and sites. You will conduct hazard analyses, training, and periodic site visits to ensure adherence to the ECS Safety Program and radiation safety initiatives.

Role requires experience in safety program implementation, incident investigations, and regulatory proceedings, with travel to offices and project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved Radiation Safety course and an 8-Hour Radiation Safety Officer training is required.
• Experience as a Safety Officer with program implementation and enforcement duties.
• Construction-related experience and radiation safety exposure are important.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Health & Safety and Radiation Safety Programs.
• Prepare Activity Hazard Analyses and training classes.
• Conduct site visits to monitor H&S program implementation.
• Participate in safety audits and Behavior Based Safety Observations.
• Review investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis when needed.
• Attend regulatory hearings and advise on process improvements and costs.
• Maintain liaison with management to align safety goals with corporate programs.
• Prepare monthly safety and radiation safety summary reports.
