Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Radiation Safety course, USDOT HazMat course and 8-Hour RSO training.
• 3–5 years as Safety Officer with program implementation and enforcement.
• 5–7 years in construction-related environment.
• 7+ years as Authorized User of portable moisture density gauges; 5+ years as RSO with licensee.

Responsibilities

• Implement Health & Safety H&S program and Radiation Safety Program.
• Prepare Activity Hazard Analyses and training classes.
• Conduct periodic site visits to offices and project sites to monitor implementation.
• Participate in safety audits and Behavior Based Safety Observations.
• Review incident investigations and conduct detailed investigations when needed.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis per safety processes.
• Attend regulatory hearings and support liability minimization.
• Develop proactive safety and radiation safety outreach with clients and partners.
• Coordinate with management to align safety goals with Corporate Program.
• Prepare and present monthly safety and radiation safety reports.
