RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Practice Assistant in Radiation Oncology at the Melchiorre Cancer Center. The role is hourly, Monday–Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, with a focus on front-desk and clerical duties supporting the Radiation Oncology team.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The department emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and efficient clinic workflows in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients, families, visitors, and physicians while delivering excellent customer service.
• Manages scheduling, registration, and waiting times to support efficient clinic operations.
• Prepares and processes paperwork, maintains logs, and handles patient-related clerical tasks.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to ensure smooth workflows across radiology, pathology, and notes.
• Maintains department clerical operations and ensures organized work environment.
