Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.
• ABR certification is required.
• IEMA license is required.
• Experience in medical physics or a related clinical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical physics support for radiation oncology services, including external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery.
• Oversee equipment acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and ongoing QA programs.
• Develop and maintain departmental physics policies, procedures and QA programs.
• Serve as Department Radiation Safety Officer and lead radiation safety initiatives.

Education

Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or related field

Certified Specialist in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics (ABR)

Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy (IEMA)
